Second AGM
The induction ceremony for the third President of VAAP, Dr. Nimal Jayaweera, was held as a hybrid event on 19th March 2022 from 11.00 am at the Institute for Continuing Education in Animal Production and Health, Gannoruwa. The Chief Guest was Prof. Terrence Madhujith, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, representing the Vice Chancellor; the Guest of Honour was Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri, Professor in Management at the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (on-line from Colombo); and the Special Invitee was Prof. Pradeepa Bandaranayake, President of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya
Inaugural Meeting
The Inaugural Meeting was held on 19th July 2019 at the Oak Ray Regency Hotel, Peradeniya. It was organized by the ‘Working Group for the Formation of VAAP’, which was established in November 2018. The event was attended by 46 alumni. The Constitution prepared by the Working Group was approved and the Founder Ex-Co of VAAP was elected.

First AGM & Induction Ceremony
The First Annual General Meeting was held on 20th March 2021 at the Institute of Continuing Education in Animal Production and Health (ICE-APH), Gannoruwa. The Chief Guest was Prof. Upul Dissanayaka, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, and the Guest of Honour was Prof. Siril Wijesundara, retired Director General of the Department of National Botanic Gardens and current President of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya. The event was held as a hybrid meeting and was attended by the members on-site and on-line. The previously approved ‘Constitution’ that was updated and reformulated by the Founder Ex-Co in accordance with legal requirements as ‘Articles of Association’ was adopted, and the Second Ex-Co was elected.
